Active Horn Antennas

An active horn antenna differs from a standard horn antenna in its system arrangement. The active version includes a preamplifier mounted directly behind the antenna, rather than near or inside the remotely located test receiver. This setup increases measurement sensitivity and accuracy by amplifying the received signals before they experience signal loss from long cable runs between the test site and the test equipment area.

AHA-118

The AHA-118 is a broadband, linearly polarized Double-Ridge Horn Antenna with a built-in 40 dB gain, low-noise preamplifier.

  • Handles up to 300 Watts continuous input power; ideal for high-power EMC immunity testing across broad RF bands.
